Quick Rant
Ok, so pet peeve today. You know how in public restrooms, a lot of times the toilet paper dispenser/used feminine product trash can is shared between two stalls. Well, whoever our cleaning person is has decided they don't need to lock that box when they change out the trash and/or toilet paper. Now, maybe they think it's quicker and more effective to not lock it. Maybe they're just lazy. I don't know. All I do know, is that one not even hard pull at the toilet paper and the door flies open and I can clearly see into the next stall. Fortunately, when this has happened to me, there was no one in the next stall over. But what if there was? I don't come to work to see my coworker's "Britney" in the stall next to me. Or let them see mine for that matter. I'm going to be really nervous the first time someone else is in there with me. I'll have to sit until they are done.

I can cook...
So, I got home tonight, worked out, and then cooked. And it was this really great vegetable mixture thing. I'm really stoked actually because it's the sign. You know, the cooking sign. The "I can throw a bunch of random things into a pot and it comes out tasting AMAZING". That sign. That was me tonight. And on the same sort of subject, I now really love mushrooms. I'm not sure why I started that as of late. But I seriously can't get enough. And they have to be cooked or something, I'm not totally at the raw mushroom place in my life. Unless I have ranch dip. Then I'm sure I could eat raw mushrooms. So anyways, I rule all.
Weekend was good. Long, but good. Probably had one of the best weekends ever with my mom. I think I slightly hurt her feelings when she asked me to move back and she had barely finished the question and I'd already said no. But, it really doesn't matter at this point because it's not even a discussion for at least another year. But we had a blast. Went to a craft fair with my mom. Got some cute stuff. Got a Christmas tree that is really cute. It's totally wooden, has a cowboy hat on top, boot on the bottom, a rope around the tree, and jalapeno lights. Way cute.
Then it was Lacey's surprise party. Which was fun but I've got to tell you, it's way stressful being a part of a surprise party. And I didn't even plan it! After that party, I went to another friend's 30th birthday party. That was fun because they had a bunch of random wigs. I'm telling you, had I known sooner how much fun a group of wigs could be... The pictures were HIGH-larious. If I had my camera cord here, I'd load pics. I'll have to do that tomorrow in my all picture blog post. :)
They posted the school schedule today for the Spring. We can't register until next week. But this gives me exactly 7 days to stress myself out about what classes to take. It's insane. I think they do this on purpose. The class I really want to take, Inventory Control (don't be jealous), is being offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 530-645. Meaning you have to go to both. Well the other classes I want to take are either on Tuesday from 7-945 or Thursday at the same time. I promise you I could NOT be at school for that long. There are people I know taking 5 classes this semester. Granted they don't work... But still. Madness. that's the only explanation. I don't know. If scheduling classes is stressing me out...
Ok, I think that's all for now. Comment away, ask questions... I take requests. :) Picture blog tomorrow.

Here I go again...
Hey everyone. So here we go. Hopefully the return of at least a weekly post. At least. That’s my plan.
So, LOVING the cold weather. Cause it’s cold enough that you don’t sweat just from walking to the car, but not too cold that I can’t still wear short sleeves or skirts. I think my mom said it best when she was like I love the cold, cause we can wear pants, and sweaters and bundle up. But of course this is Texas so you still wear flip flops. It’s totally true. I think this is the only state where it’s 100% acceptable to have a big, warm fluffy sweatshirt on with shorts and flops. Good times.
Hollywood stuff. Where to start. Britney is the obvious but I’m way tired of that. Tony Romo was spotted with Sophia Bush. I don’t think I like that. I’m strange with celebrity hookups. I’m not so delusional that I think that I actually have a shot. It’s just that I feel like I have to be picky about who they are with. Like let’s take Carrie Underwood. I didn’t like her at all with Romo. But I’m totally digging her with the dude from Gossip Girl. Oh, and is it wrong (Yes Carter, I know if I have to ask… :)) that the GG dude, Chace Crawford, his dad is a doctor in Dallas. I’m guessing given his son’s newfound fame, he’s not really taking new customers. But I’m still thinking of making an appointment. :)
School. Here’s my advice to people thinking of going back to school. Don’t do it! Well not really, but I think if I had it to do over again, I may have visited a couple schools, tried to talk to people that went there currently. Cause I like where I go, I just don’t love it. I guess from what I had heard from other people about grad school, this just isn’t the same. It just feels a little like undergrad part deux… But I still adore the people I’ve met, and it will all be worth it… Just a little different then expected. But after this semester I’m at the beginning of the homestretch so woo hoo!
Got a flu shot this morning. Let me just point out that I always have hated them. If I’m going to get sick, then so be it. I’ve never understood the point of the flu shot. But to prove my point of how worthless they are, I got one today. Plus, I’m not a huge fan of shots so I’m sure that’s part of my reasoning. I know it’s mostly in my head, but I’m really not feeling well now. I think it already made me sick. Oh, and I’m waiting my turn and purposely not watching them do the shots. Well he’s doing Stephanie’s shot right before mine, and I hear him go “oops, I’m sorry”. Um, you’re about to stick a needle in my arm. And you just said you’re sorry? WTF? But it was fine. I’m just sick now.
I think Fall TV this year is better then past years. I think much more is normally cancelled by now. I just got DVR as well. I know, welcome to the now right? So it helps cause I can record everything that comes on. Just about… I kind of thought at first I’d tape everything, not love it all, and be able to scale down. Not so much… Maybe I’ll pick a show and do my own recap of it every week. But the shows I like. I’ll go each day of the week, tell you what I’m watching. If you watch it too, feel free to chat about it with me!
Sunday – the normal stuff on ABC. Extreme Makeover, Housewives, Brothers and Sisters. I also TIVO Shark.
Monday – NBC - Chuck – which is amazing. You should totally watch it if you’re not. And then Journeyman. Which I know is on the bubble, but it’s great. It’s about time travel so… CBS – of course all the How I met your mother, two and a half men, etc. Solid good stuff. I think Harold makes a good point on HIMYM being like the next Friends. Very true! ABC – the only thing is that new show Samantha Who. It’s totally cute. Only a couple episodes so far but it’s super cute. And of course the Hills. How can you beat that!
Tuesday – Pretty slow night for me. Nip/Tuck is about to be back so there’s that. And then Law & Order SVU.
Wednesday – Pushing Daisies. It’s the best show ever. It’s totally whimsical and unlike any show I’ve ever watched. I highly recommend it. Then ther’es Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money. Totally worth watching. Then another show not many are into yet but should is Life. It’s about a cop that was wrongly put in jail and then released and he’s trying to find out who framed him. It’s good. And my guilty pleasure teenager show, Gossip Girl.
Thursday – this is my nothing but CBS and ABC night. I record Survivor, CSI, and Without a Trace and I watch Ugly Betty, Grey’s, and Big Shots.
Are we getting the idea yet that I watch a lot of TV? Maybe I should study more… But to be honest, most of these I watch on Saturday’s when I’m just at the house.
Friday there’s this new show called Women’s Murder Club. It’s really good. And then Numbers. The rest of the time is really for catching up on the others. And mix in the random E! cable shows and there you go. If you have questions about a show, let me know. Oh, and if you watch the Bachelor, you need to read this guy’s blog. He’s so great and funny. And he lives here. I should hunt him down try to meet him and tell him what I big fan I am. http://realitysteve.com/
Boy Drama. It’s always there. I guess it’s just the same old thing. I just wish I was that girl who was brave enough to be like you know what, I’m going to go ahead and just put it out there. Tell him exactly what I’m thinking and all that. But I’m not ready to do that yet. Yet… we’ll have to see. I may have a couple beers one night and just get gutsy. :)
So the rest of the year is working out nicely I think. Couple of random trips here and there. School is a no for the entire month of December so that will be really great. Then the holidays which I love. And I get to go back to Seattle and Oregon which sort of factors into the previous paragraph. I didn’t plan the trip for him but he’s certainly involved in the trip so…
So, I think that’s a pretty good one today. Again, I’m going to try really hard to make this weekly at the least. Possibly a big one on Sunday to recap the week or something and then little randoms in between. Oh and soon I'll do a picture blog of some stuff.

To My Fan...
So given that really sweet comment reminding me that I need to post more often, I've decided that I will. Cause I love me some Corona... Beer and people. I promise that in the next 48 hours, there will be a new post. And it will have actual content and rants and things.
Some possible topics:
1. Fall TV so far
2. School
3. Boy Drama
4. Plans for the upcoming months
Until then... :)
