Something to hold you over until I have nothing else to do but sit in my hotel room in El Paso. These were some funny quotes from last week as per Entertainment Weekly. Who doesn't love the word "jackassery"? I don't think it's used enough.
Oh, and sidebar before the quotes. On April 14th, 2008, Amanda Simmons will be rocking out 80's style with me to the great Bon Jovi. What she doesn't know, is the attire I plan on us wearing. I have roughly 6 months to have her see my way on this. I'm thinking leg warmers... and you can go up from there... :)
''During the Democratic debate Tuesday night, Senator Joe Biden criticized Republican candidate Rudy Giuliani, saying that 'there's only three things he mentions in a sentence: a noun, a verb, and 9/11.' Giuliani later responded, saying, 'Joe Biden sucks 9/11.''
SETH MEYERS, ON SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
''I have flower problems, catering problems, and Bradford wants something called a Shania Twain to perform at our reception.''
WILHELMINA (VANESSA WILLIAMS), DISCUSSING HER WEDDING-PLANNING WOES, ON UGLY BETTY
''You just folded like an origami swan.''
KITTY (CALISTA FLOCKHART) TO ISAAC (DANNY GLOVER), AFTER HE GIVES IN TO HER MOTHER'S DEMANDS, ON BROTHERS & SISTERS
''I'll watch the last 24 minutes of Dr. Who, although at this point it's more like Dr. Why Bother.'' SHELDON (JIM PARSONS), EXPLAINING HIS TELEVISION PLANS, ON BIG BANG THEORY
''It's this sort of immature, inconsiderate jackassery that makes me feel like I'm living in the Real World house. And not the early years, when they all had jobs and social consciences. I'm talking about Hawaii and after.''
MARSHALL (JASON SEGEL), TO TED (JOSH RADNOR), WHO HE THOUGHT HAD NEGLECTED TO PUT THE LID ON THE PEANUT BUTTER, ON HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
''You can not take the hilarious black guy from the office. Stanley is part of what makes this branch so extraordinary — the bluesy wisdom, the sassy remarks, the crossword puzzles, the smile, those big watery red eyes. I don't know how George Bush did it when Colin Powell left.''
MICHAEL (STEVE CARELL), AFTER LEARNING THAT STANLEY (LESLIE DAVID BAKER) MIGHT BE CHANGING BRANCHES, ON THE OFFICE
''I know what my Vicodins look like. Do you know what your birth-control pills look like?''
HOUSE (HUGH LAURIE), TO CUDDY (LISA EDELSTEIN), WHO HAD REPLACED HIS PAIN MEDICATION WITH LAXATIVES, ON HOUSE
''Sources in Barack Obama's campaign say that Obama has been watching old tapes of Bill Clinton's debates to improve his style. Which explains why Obama now starts every sentence with 'Honey, I can explain.'''
CONAN O'BRIEN, ON LATE NIGHT
''The days are getting shorter and shorter. If this keeps up, they say five months from now, the world will be completely dark. It's what Al Gore is calling global darkening.''

My mom is so proud...
Ok, so I'm back. Still have a little of the crap but it's more now just the annoying stuffiness. Good times. Very hot too. Not even the sexy phlegm voice. Bummer... Cause if i had the voice, I'd be rocking some Smelly Cat... Anyways...
So the title of this blog. Reason is this. I've always known right and wrong. And I'm that person that will go back to a store because they forgot to charge me like 50 cents or something. I seriously just get physically ill knowing that I have something I didn't pay for.
So yesterday after lunch I go with Stephanie to Staples because she has to buy some paper. And I've been looking for a printer so I decided to look around. Ever since my parents got one of those 3 in 1, photo printers, I've been looking. So Staples had an HP on sale for like $125. Great deal, and it seems to be able to print what I'm looking for. Up to an 8.5X11 so that works great. So the guy is helping me, shows me the cable I need, the ink that is on sale, the photo paper, etc. So of course the tab keeps getting higher but... We get to the checkout and he gives me 10% off for signing up for their rewards program, and then another 20% just cause. I think I complimented his gold capped teeth so he liked me... Who knows.
So I get the extended warranty too and I'm filling out all my stuff and not paying attention totally. He gives me my total of $136. I'm like holy crap. Those are some discounts. And you know when it doesn't seem right, but then you're like well I guess it is, but I don't know... So he helps us out to the car and we leave.
Oh, I should break in and mention that this guy was already a little questionable as he told Stephanie and I about how he works in real estate as well as selling designer handbags out of his car. oh and shoes. And he drives a really really nice Chrysler 3000 with custom rims. So he was super shady already.
So we're driving away and I'm still like ok, this isn't right. This cost isn't right. All of the sudden I see it... He didn't charge me for the printer. Everything else, no printer. So I'm like Stephanie, turn around, we have to go back. And so we walk back in and they're like um, back already? Oh, and to keep pointing out random facts, they know where we work because we use them all the time for copy stuff. So I go well, i don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I don't think you charged me for the printer. And they were like OMG, you came back? I can't believe it. Now, first of all, as previously mentioned, there was no way i wouldn't have come back. Cause i would have been puking in my trash can cause I would have felt so bad. Also, I had just filled out two different forms of paperwork that had all of my information PLUS, they know where i work. It wasn't like they wouldn't have figured it out and found me. So they end up giving me the printer for a flat $100 since I was honest.
So it's done right? NO! They actually came to my work about 30 minutes later looking for me because they wanted to give me MORE of a discount. I guess they had tried to call but my cell is silent during the day so... So I guess they had called the Manager (one guy was the assistant mgr) and he said you should have given her more off so they tried to credit and re-bill my card but they don't keep your credit card on file anymore so now that first $136 had been totally wiped out of the system. Madness. So I had to call the store and talk to the manager and he's supposed to be sending me the receipts.
All this drama for a printer!
Now all I have to do is set it up and start printing! :)
This writer's strike is putting a damper on my TV. Expect a lot more reality shows to come out. Oh, and there's a nasty rumor that Lost may not come back until FEBRUARY 2009!!!!!!!!!!!! Because they've only taped 8 episodes and they were planning to air 22 straight. And so many people hate last season where they did like 6 and then a huge break and then 16 more. So they may just wait. I can't handle it!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, that's all for now. This weekend should have some interesting stories.
Later!

Quick Rant
Ok, so pet peeve today. You know how in public restrooms, a lot of times the toilet paper dispenser/used feminine product trash can is shared between two stalls. Well, whoever our cleaning person is has decided they don't need to lock that box when they change out the trash and/or toilet paper. Now, maybe they think it's quicker and more effective to not lock it. Maybe they're just lazy. I don't know. All I do know, is that one not even hard pull at the toilet paper and the door flies open and I can clearly see into the next stall. Fortunately, when this has happened to me, there was no one in the next stall over. But what if there was? I don't come to work to see my coworker's "Britney" in the stall next to me. Or let them see mine for that matter. I'm going to be really nervous the first time someone else is in there with me. I'll have to sit until they are done.

I can cook...
So, I got home tonight, worked out, and then cooked. And it was this really great vegetable mixture thing. I'm really stoked actually because it's the sign. You know, the cooking sign. The "I can throw a bunch of random things into a pot and it comes out tasting AMAZING". That sign. That was me tonight. And on the same sort of subject, I now really love mushrooms. I'm not sure why I started that as of late. But I seriously can't get enough. And they have to be cooked or something, I'm not totally at the raw mushroom place in my life. Unless I have ranch dip. Then I'm sure I could eat raw mushrooms. So anyways, I rule all.
Weekend was good. Long, but good. Probably had one of the best weekends ever with my mom. I think I slightly hurt her feelings when she asked me to move back and she had barely finished the question and I'd already said no. But, it really doesn't matter at this point because it's not even a discussion for at least another year. But we had a blast. Went to a craft fair with my mom. Got some cute stuff. Got a Christmas tree that is really cute. It's totally wooden, has a cowboy hat on top, boot on the bottom, a rope around the tree, and jalapeno lights. Way cute.
Then it was Lacey's surprise party. Which was fun but I've got to tell you, it's way stressful being a part of a surprise party. And I didn't even plan it! After that party, I went to another friend's 30th birthday party. That was fun because they had a bunch of random wigs. I'm telling you, had I known sooner how much fun a group of wigs could be... The pictures were HIGH-larious. If I had my camera cord here, I'd load pics. I'll have to do that tomorrow in my all picture blog post. :)
They posted the school schedule today for the Spring. We can't register until next week. But this gives me exactly 7 days to stress myself out about what classes to take. It's insane. I think they do this on purpose. The class I really want to take, Inventory Control (don't be jealous), is being offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 530-645. Meaning you have to go to both. Well the other classes I want to take are either on Tuesday from 7-945 or Thursday at the same time. I promise you I could NOT be at school for that long. There are people I know taking 5 classes this semester. Granted they don't work... But still. Madness. that's the only explanation. I don't know. If scheduling classes is stressing me out...
Ok, I think that's all for now. Comment away, ask questions... I take requests. :) Picture blog tomorrow.

Here I go again...
Hey everyone. So here we go. Hopefully the return of at least a weekly post. At least. That’s my plan.
So, LOVING the cold weather. Cause it’s cold enough that you don’t sweat just from walking to the car, but not too cold that I can’t still wear short sleeves or skirts. I think my mom said it best when she was like I love the cold, cause we can wear pants, and sweaters and bundle up. But of course this is Texas so you still wear flip flops. It’s totally true. I think this is the only state where it’s 100% acceptable to have a big, warm fluffy sweatshirt on with shorts and flops. Good times.
Hollywood stuff. Where to start. Britney is the obvious but I’m way tired of that. Tony Romo was spotted with Sophia Bush. I don’t think I like that. I’m strange with celebrity hookups. I’m not so delusional that I think that I actually have a shot. It’s just that I feel like I have to be picky about who they are with. Like let’s take Carrie Underwood. I didn’t like her at all with Romo. But I’m totally digging her with the dude from Gossip Girl. Oh, and is it wrong (Yes Carter, I know if I have to ask… :)) that the GG dude, Chace Crawford, his dad is a doctor in Dallas. I’m guessing given his son’s newfound fame, he’s not really taking new customers. But I’m still thinking of making an appointment. :)
School. Here’s my advice to people thinking of going back to school. Don’t do it! Well not really, but I think if I had it to do over again, I may have visited a couple schools, tried to talk to people that went there currently. Cause I like where I go, I just don’t love it. I guess from what I had heard from other people about grad school, this just isn’t the same. It just feels a little like undergrad part deux… But I still adore the people I’ve met, and it will all be worth it… Just a little different then expected. But after this semester I’m at the beginning of the homestretch so woo hoo!
Got a flu shot this morning. Let me just point out that I always have hated them. If I’m going to get sick, then so be it. I’ve never understood the point of the flu shot. But to prove my point of how worthless they are, I got one today. Plus, I’m not a huge fan of shots so I’m sure that’s part of my reasoning. I know it’s mostly in my head, but I’m really not feeling well now. I think it already made me sick. Oh, and I’m waiting my turn and purposely not watching them do the shots. Well he’s doing Stephanie’s shot right before mine, and I hear him go “oops, I’m sorry”. Um, you’re about to stick a needle in my arm. And you just said you’re sorry? WTF? But it was fine. I’m just sick now.
I think Fall TV this year is better then past years. I think much more is normally cancelled by now. I just got DVR as well. I know, welcome to the now right? So it helps cause I can record everything that comes on. Just about… I kind of thought at first I’d tape everything, not love it all, and be able to scale down. Not so much… Maybe I’ll pick a show and do my own recap of it every week. But the shows I like. I’ll go each day of the week, tell you what I’m watching. If you watch it too, feel free to chat about it with me!
Sunday – the normal stuff on ABC. Extreme Makeover, Housewives, Brothers and Sisters. I also TIVO Shark.
Monday – NBC - Chuck – which is amazing. You should totally watch it if you’re not. And then Journeyman. Which I know is on the bubble, but it’s great. It’s about time travel so… CBS – of course all the How I met your mother, two and a half men, etc. Solid good stuff. I think Harold makes a good point on HIMYM being like the next Friends. Very true! ABC – the only thing is that new show Samantha Who. It’s totally cute. Only a couple episodes so far but it’s super cute. And of course the Hills. How can you beat that!
Tuesday – Pretty slow night for me. Nip/Tuck is about to be back so there’s that. And then Law & Order SVU.
Wednesday – Pushing Daisies. It’s the best show ever. It’s totally whimsical and unlike any show I’ve ever watched. I highly recommend it. Then ther’es Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money. Totally worth watching. Then another show not many are into yet but should is Life. It’s about a cop that was wrongly put in jail and then released and he’s trying to find out who framed him. It’s good. And my guilty pleasure teenager show, Gossip Girl.
Thursday – this is my nothing but CBS and ABC night. I record Survivor, CSI, and Without a Trace and I watch Ugly Betty, Grey’s, and Big Shots.
Are we getting the idea yet that I watch a lot of TV? Maybe I should study more… But to be honest, most of these I watch on Saturday’s when I’m just at the house.
Friday there’s this new show called Women’s Murder Club. It’s really good. And then Numbers. The rest of the time is really for catching up on the others. And mix in the random E! cable shows and there you go. If you have questions about a show, let me know. Oh, and if you watch the Bachelor, you need to read this guy’s blog. He’s so great and funny. And he lives here. I should hunt him down try to meet him and tell him what I big fan I am. http://realitysteve.com/
Boy Drama. It’s always there. I guess it’s just the same old thing. I just wish I was that girl who was brave enough to be like you know what, I’m going to go ahead and just put it out there. Tell him exactly what I’m thinking and all that. But I’m not ready to do that yet. Yet… we’ll have to see. I may have a couple beers one night and just get gutsy. :)
So the rest of the year is working out nicely I think. Couple of random trips here and there. School is a no for the entire month of December so that will be really great. Then the holidays which I love. And I get to go back to Seattle and Oregon which sort of factors into the previous paragraph. I didn’t plan the trip for him but he’s certainly involved in the trip so…
So, I think that’s a pretty good one today. Again, I’m going to try really hard to make this weekly at the least. Possibly a big one on Sunday to recap the week or something and then little randoms in between. Oh and soon I'll do a picture blog of some stuff.
Love ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To My Fan...
So given that really sweet comment reminding me that I need to post more often, I've decided that I will. Cause I love me some Corona... Beer and people. I promise that in the next 48 hours, there will be a new post. And it will have actual content and rants and things.
Some possible topics:
1. Fall TV so far
2. School
3. Boy Drama
4. Plans for the upcoming months
Until then... :)

Well hello there...
So I just noticed that I officially took the summer off from blogging. For real. My last post was May 31st, and we're now into September. Random. Summer was really busy though. I don't have enough time tonight but maybe tomorrow if it gets slow at work I'll give you a breakdown of the summer. Maybe even some pics cause you know my birthday fell during my hiatus.
What made me write today? Well I'll tell you. There's something that bugs me when I'm driving. Actually, there are quite a few things and I think I've mentioned them before. Anyways... So what bugs me lately? The bumper stickers that say I ♥ My Wife (or husband).
Or today, I saw a license plate outline that said "My Husband Loves Me". Now, maybe it's me being bitter cause I'm single, but I just think it's like overkill. Fabulous that you love your wife/husband. As you should. But do you have to scream it on a cheesy bumper sticker? It's almost like trying too hard to prove that you do. I think it's like when you keep telling people that someone's actions don't bother you. Clearly it does or you wouldn't be mentioning it every five minutes! Anyways, when I write my book of driving pet peeves, this will get a mention. Not a whole chapter but maybe the chapter about "Things that annoy me cause I see them when I'm driving."
I get to go see Carter Ross Grigsby this weekend! He's so cute. Even in the little Longhorn onesie that he will appropriately puke on at some point in the near future. :) It's funny cause I really have no real feeling towards UT or A&M. I love all my friends that went to school at either. But sometimes I get like Texas Tech and decide to make up rivalries out of nothing just cause. Oh lord please don't let me be Texas Tech. Although I adore my friend that went there too. Big 12 drama...
Football is here! I think I'm more stoked about it this year. I think cause the Astros stink. Either way.
Ok, so that's all for now. Just wanted to let you know I'm still working this thing.
Next post: How I spent my summer vacation. My thoughts on the upcoming football season. Why I'm dreading the next couple weeks because it means that September 30th will be here that much faster.
Love ya! (whoever is still actually reading this)

Miss me?
So, for all one of you that's been missing the blog... I'm back. Laying low tonight. Watching some college world series softball stuff. Lots been going on. Been too tired to type! It's a crap excuse I know.
So right now I'm just relaxing. No homework tonight. I'm school free. Hoping that will help these shoulder knots I have. I tend to carry my stress in my shoulders and when I get mega stress, it is downright painful. So we'll see.
Is it totally wrong that I'm sitting here, listening to my self created playlist and loving every second of it? I mean i know I'm the one the picked the songs but still.
I really want to go shopping. But I'm not sure for what. And that's not a good way to shop.
Very excited for this weekend. My cousin Kate is coming into town. This will be the last time I'll see her for a while since she's moving back to Wisconsin. I'm so glad she was so close for a while. Maybe she'll move back. :)
Speaking of family, I think it's ok to be in countdown mode for going to Seattle. I can't tell you how stoked I am for that. I think part of it, is any time you can spend $400 at one time, for an airline ticket or anything else fun, it just feels good. Like some sort of accomplishment or something. I know, I'm lame.
So there have been a lot of pics of Ashley Judd lately since her hubby, who is bad ass enough to not have to be referred to as "Ashley Judd's Husband" all the time, won the Indy 500. Isn't it so cool when you see someone who after 8 years of marriage, still looks at her husband with goo goo eyes? I think that's just amazing. Like last night he threw out the first pitch at the Astros game. And even then she was like giddy. I just hope that's me with someone one day. It's really great.
I think tomorrow or something I'll post more just Hollywood gossip stuff. Because if I start now, I won't stop typing and i need to just lay down for a while.
Just wanted to check in, tell you I'm still here. :)
Later!

Middle of the day...
ok, minor randomness. It needs to stop raining. Seriously. I don't live in Seattle for a reason. I'm pale. I need some sun. PLEASE! Good news though is the river is back to normal. THANK GOD! I have at least two trips planned this summer... Always up for more.
Still going to Seattle (ironically) for 4th of July. Can't wait. I'm actually taking trips this summer. Somewhere in all of that I'm taking a full course load in school. I'm insane.
I was assigned the title of Head Beer Drinker at our company golf tournament. Very proud to hold that title. Must pace a little better then last year. The heat got me and I started drinking at like 730am last year so I was tanked out by about 7PM. But 12 straight hours in the 95 degree heat? not too shabby.
Ok, that's all. Tonight I'll post more. Just wanted to be a little random before getting back to work.

Been a while...
OK, so who would have thought that Brittany Murphy of all people is what really encouraged another blog post. I have food to make for dinner but I'm waiting just to write this. Well, and also I just need to mellow a little before I go right into cooking. Do you realize with school and all, I really haven't cooked much lately. That stinks! So tonight it's jalapeño chicken rolls. We'll see how they work out.
So Brittany Murphy. She's been engaged more times then most people have had boyfriends. So apparently she secretly married this guy like last week or something. And here's the thing. It's not that she just called off an engagement like 8 months ago. Nope. I'm actually OK with that. It's that she and her new husband went to the Kentucky Derby over the weekend, wearing their rings, and trying to avoid being photographed because they wanted to make an "official" announcement on Monday. I'm calling total BS. First of all, I'm not saying you have to stay in seclusion till you want to announce, but the Derby? That's like celebrity heaven. The damn Derby lasts for 6 hours or something but the actual race is like 2 minutes. What else are people going to do but photo the people there. So give me a freaking break you didn't want people to know. That's like getting a boob job, wearing a teeny tiny top, and being shocked that people noticed. Whatever. You got what you wanted.
If you haven't already, check out Taylor Swift. She's country, and she's fantastic. Trust me, you'll love her.
I think I'm extra tired today, but I'm becoming increasingly agitated with people on the road. For example, if you drive a piece of crap, is it necessary to take a speed bump at like 2 miles per hour? I mean maybe you're afraid the car will fall apart if you go any faster. I suppose I can see that. Also, the blinker... Just cause you turn it on, doesn't give you free reign to just get over. You still need to wait. And you don't get to just start nosing in because you were the dumbass that got in the wrong turn lane and now you need to cover 4 lanes of traffic in the matter of like 30 feet. Sorry... Oh, and where in the driver's ed manual does it say that during rush hour traffic, you should let no less then 5 cars turn in from a parking lot on a road with one of three lanes already closed for construction. There... feel better.
Oh, and I'm at the grocery store and I see this woman. And i know that sometimes you gain weight, your jeans start feeling a little tight and you start to rock the muffin top from time to time. Not our favorite time sure... But here's the thing. When you're already a little overweight, don't wear a top that while standing straight up, and not hanging on anything, totally shows your midriff. i don't care how hot it's getting. It's just not ok.
I've had a really great last couple of weeks. I finished my first semester of grad school. 2 A's and a B. Not too shabby. I'm happy anyways. It's wearing me out but it's well worth it. Last weekend I had the 2 day bachelorette fiesta. SO MUCH FUN. Mission accomplished on Friday when our group got on TV at the game. Totally cool. Then just had a blast the whole rest of the weekend. Wedding was this past weekend, had a blast of course. Christe was absolutely gorgeous of course. It was just so much fun. I'm still tired, and it's still totally worth it.
More Hollywood stuff. Paris Hilton. So apparently her parents have even contacted
Schwarzenegger to help get her out of it. PATHETIC. I hate people that just think they can buy their way out of everything. And apparently her mom is shopping around to TV stations for the rights to her interview. Give me a break. They all make me sick. I've got nothing more on this.
Lohan... in a cocaine scandal. Shocking? Not really. I've said it before... It's going to take her dying or something. I mean come on... Clearly no one has an ounce of influence on her. Her mom isn't going to do anything. It's like what happened with Britney. When she's your paycheck, you're not going to tell her no. And then when you try... it's too late.
Ok, Jake Gyllenhaal and Austin Nichols. Sure they're probably lovers... Which crushes me... but stop making it your mission to out everyone! It's really disrespectful and annoying.
Ok, one more thing... I think. I'm not sure if Jessica Simpson really cares or not, but i just saw a picture of Nick and Vanessa at the Derby this weekend. Ok, maybe cause I saw Nick and Jessica go on the Newlyweds, I just feel like it's their place and he can't take his new girl there. I'm just stupid though...
Ok, gonna go cook. Later!

The Virgina Tech Tragedy
So, I can't even begin to understand how these people feel. I've been in a situation where there was a gun and a crazy guy, but I truly believe that guy had no desire to kill anyone but himself.
This guy at VT has been confirmed as a student. And they have confirmed that he was the shooter at the dorm, and then two hours later at the class building. It's almost worse today because you start to hear who the people are. And it makes it so much more real when faces and names are put to it. The first name/face I saw was Ryan Clark, who was an RA on the floor at the dorm. Rumor (and it's just rumor right now) is that the shooter went to kill a girl he had been involved with and Ryan came to help her and he got shot too. Friends are saying that Ryan was such a great guy, funny, friendly, every one's friend. He was also a 4.0 with a TRIPLE MAJOR. Why do the jack ass, loser people have to go after the people that have so much in their life and could make such a difference? It's just not fair.
I can't imagine the horror of the families that are across the country or wherever trying to get in touch with family members to check on them. It's just unfathomable.
I don't really know what else to say, I just felt like saying something. more for me to just get the thoughts out and stuff. It's just scary cause it could be anywhere. You never know what makes someone snap. And of course they say that they're having trouble with this guy because he was a loner and they don't have much to go on. I just don't know what makes people think this is their option. And if it was a girlfriend that he shot in the dorm, then why the class building? I hate that we may never know why.

Mix of a couple things...
So, it's freaking amazing outside. Great weather, just perfect. Of course I'm sitting in an office.
But, when we got back from lunch we saw this guy that was stalled out at the back entrance to the Lowe's parking lot across the street from our office. Normally, not a big deal. But this guys "breaks down" about 3 times a week in that same spot. Now at first I thought wow... that guy has some crazy luck... But then I thought about it and I was like you know, I think he’s doing that on purpose! (I knew he was) So we ended up calling the police, again, and they came out, made him leave but really didn’t do anything. It was excitement though.
I have no desire to work today. None. And, the morning is flying since I got in late cause I had to drop off my dog at the kennel.
Big weekend plans. Birthday party tonight at the Firehouse for Tracey. That’s my all time favorite bar so I’m glad to get to go. And, dude I went to high school with is having a CD release party so that means the great high school reunion I’m sure… Then tomorrow is the crawfish boil. My friend Jason hands down makes the best crawfish in the history of the world. So I’m really stoked about that too.
Sunday I have to be back by like 5 for a school thing but oh well…
Ok, I figured I’d just pick this one up since I haven’t posted it yet…
Weekend was so fun. I’m still so tired!!!!!!! Went to Firehouse Friday night. Totally a Lutheran North and St Pius reunion. Good crowd for his release. The opening band was really good. I didn’t pay attention at first but then they did this AMAZING acapella song that was just wow… Fun times though. Fun to hang out with the Houston crowd because I never seem to get the whole group at once. Missed Harold who was at home with the baby and Megan and Jason who were partying in Vegas. Great time though. Tracey should have drank more since it was her bday.
Saturday, bummed around for a while. Hung out at the parents. Then went to Jason’s crawfish boil. Let me just say, he makes the best crawfish ever. Seriously. He’s so good at that. Bummer weather though so it mostly had to be in the garage which wasn’t terrible, just a little crowded. Wouldn’t have been so bad but the wind! Then I got to go see the twins and McKenna. That was a lot of fun. They’re so cute. And the twins are so much fun now that they have little personalities and stuff.
Sunday, went to church, lunch with mom, and headed back. It sucked to spend such a GORGEOUS day in the car. But it made the drive easier. And speaking of, you know how I like to get the fastest time every time? Well, some of you may know that. But I used to get so pissed if I didn’t make it to College Station in under an hour. And I do the same thing driving Houston to Dallas. It’s clearly a sickness because it’s really consuming. But I made it from essentially my parent’s house to my house in under 3 ½ hours. That’s right… 3 hours and 22 minutes. I was so proud! I’m lame…
Went to get my dog, he was pooped. He doesn’t sleep much at the kennel. Barking dogs stress him out. Then I laid down for like 5 minutes and had to go to school to meet my group. Didn’t get to bed early enough and now I’m so sleepy. Must get good sleep tonight cause my Denver partner in crime is coming to town!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She’s going to dinner with her rental people tomorrow and then on Wednesday she’s all mine! We are going out to Ft Worth for a concert. Should be great weather and a ton of fun. Hope Ryan doesn’t hit on her. I think we all know that’s gonna happen.
Anyway, long week ahead, very busy. School tonight and tomorrow, FW on Wednesday, baby-sit on Thursday, hair appt and hang at Steph’s Friday, then studying for finals and finishing the project. I’ll be SO HAPPY for NEXT WEDNESDAY when I can just watch Lost and relax. Maybe I’ll get a Freebirds burrito as something to look forward to.
Ok, back to class and paying some attention. Later…

It's Tuesday...
So, it's a short week for me sort of because I stayed in Houston an extra day to hang out with the fam and to take my mom to lunch for her bday. Had a really fun time over Easter. Got to have Easter dinner at Lacey's house which was fun. I'll be back again this weekend for Petway's Bday on Friday and then the best crawfish ever at Catchings' house. So should be fun times.
Let's see. What's new... Well, school is winding down. I can't believe I'm almost done with the first semester. It's really going by so fast. Which is of course a really good thing... I'm still loving it. Unfortunately I'm really looking forward to my next couple of semesters which is really bad on my part cause i need to finish this one.
Monday when I was driving home to Dallas, I was on 45 almost to downtown, and i see this guy on the side of the road. Not a big deal really cause there are usually hitchhikers and stuff around there. But this guy was clearly homeless, and clearly insane. He was literally playing air guitar on the side of freaking I45. WHAT? I wanted to turn around cause I wasn't sure what song it was. I think it was Stairway to Heaven but I guess I'll never know... I actually expected to see something on the news later with either him being hit or someone else wrecking cause they were watching him.
Tonight in class, I saw this guy sitting in front of me and his bag was on the table. Not a really big deal. It was a messenger bag but here's the thing. In the spot that normally there would be a pen, there was a toothbrush? I'm sorry what? Do you randomly just pull out a toothbrush and brush your teeth in class? He never did but I swear I would have died laughing.
Big celeb news of the day that should shock no one. Larry Birkhead is the father of Anna Nicole's baby. I mean come on, the kid looks JUST LIKE HIM. I'm glad for him because i think he's the only one that truly loved her and truly wanted this baby for something other then the money. So that just opens a whole other round of stories... PS, was anyone else just sort of hoping that the crazy prince was the dad just to see what would happen?
So LC may have a sex tape. With the deadbeat ex Jason. And apparently since he was arrested for the 4th time in 9 months this past weekend, he may need the money. But i heard that he may just release it to get to her. Is it wrong that I'm actually pretty curious to see this tape? Now, they say it's nothing major. Nothing kinky or anything. but still. I guess cause she's seen as so good, it's interesting to see a bad side to her or something. But ok, when will girls learn? Never do a sex tape! Especially when you're 19 and you've already had issues with the guy before. Oh well... Guess she'll learn.
Baseball is back! The Astros are slow going so far, but it's early... I'm still pumped.
My dog is totally loving his new doggie bed. He's so cute and cuddled up right now.
Ok, that's all for now. Later gators!

Long Day
thank goodness no school tonight. Today was just a brutally long day. Nothing hard, just really busy. It was stressful. I think if I had to sit in class tonight I wouldn't have made it.
oh yeah. Know what I'm watching? ASTROS BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got my plane ticket to Seattle for this summer. I know it's like 3 months away or something but I'm so stoked.
You know what seriously irks me? When you're at work, or anywhere really, and you're busy and focused and trying to get something done. And some dill hole has to stop you and go "Smile... the day is almost over". Really? Is it? Is that because you work in the department that keeps screwing up our shipments so you could give a tiny rat's ass what happens so long as you get your maybe 8 hours in? AND, how do you know that I'm in a bad mood? Maybe I'm just thinking about something and don't want to lose track so I don't stop and have some random conversation. It's just annoying. Maybe I was just tired.
Did I mention? Astros baseball?
So twice in two days there have been pictures of Melissa Joan Hart on random gossip blogs. It makes me wonder why. I mean she pretty much stays low key so I'm not sure why now... HMMM.
Started registering for classes today. Summer should work out fine. Fall is a little more tricky. I think that there's a good chance I'll be taking a Friday night class which I'm not overly psyched about, but it's the one elective in the entire degree plan that I'm literally dying to take. So that's the trade off I guess. Hopefully it's a cool professor and it's just a really laid back kind of class. The only thing worse then a Friday class is one that makes you want to pull your own eyeballs out. I'll have my computer in there so that will help.
Luke Scott 2 run homer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heart him. I think what did it for me, was this special that ESPN did about athletes and guns. Let me also say that I'm not a hunter. I'll fish, but the thought of shooting a gun scares me beyond belief. Anyways, I've never thought a man with guns was hotter then when I saw Luke Scott. Just something random.
Oh, and if you have a MySpace, or can get on there, check out my profile song. It's one of the best songs I've heard in a while. You have to like country music though. It's a song by Brad Paisley called Ticks... Brad Paisley writes the most creative songs. It's just fun. I'm really thinking about going to see him in concert here but all of his opening acts are who Lacey and I are going to see for Kenny Chesney so... who knows.
Alright, that's pretty random for tonight.
More tomorrow. Have a midterm so should be done by 8 tomorrow.

My April Resolution
So, I'm really going to try to get back to posting more then once a week. I think it was becoming somewhat therapeutic for me and it may help me chill out at night.
So what's new? This weekend was pretty good. Got some cleaning done as far as boxes I've been wanting to go through. I need to scan and post some of the pictures I found cause they're HILARIOUS. Me from high school and stuff.
Babysat at church last night. Slightly annoyed about that. Not because it was later then I thought when i said i could, but annoyed because on of the families left their kids with us for almost an hour after the event was over. I felt like that was pretty rude of them since that made it 11 before I got to leave. Oh well.
Today we met at school for my Monday night class and really nailed down our project that we have due. So that's a huge weight lifted. Midterm on Tuesday that i really need to study for tomorrow since i left my school notebook at work. Oh well.
Opening day tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! So glad that we don't have class tomorrow night so i get to watch it! SO EXCITED.
I'm sure there's more going on but I'll have to think about it and post later.
Oh, so rumors have been flying for weeks that Paris Hilton secretly got a boob job. Check the pictures out if you find them. There's just no way i believe it's a push up bra. If it is, it's the worlds best. You decide though...

Mama's Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Weathermen
So I’ve decided that I should have majored in Meteorology. I mean think about it. Do you have to really ever be right? No. You can just blame it on a front that no one could have seen coming and you’re off the hook! I say this because they’ve been saying for a week we are going to have thunderstorms here. And NOTHING.
Weekend was good. But before I get started on that, I must point out a glaring omission from last weekend’s recap. I got to hang out with Amanda Carter which was totally fun! She came to Kaelen’s and then with me and my sister for crawfish. So I’m sorry for not mentioning a really important part of my weekend last time.
Saturday I went out to Arlington to watch Sam Houston play softball. That was pretty fun cause they have some really great parents that I miss seeing now that Whit is done playing. After the games, Jennifer, Gentry and I went to Pappadeaux for some crawfish. My review on them. Really big crawfish, almost like lobsters. Not taste. Totally bland, no seasoning taste at all. I MAY go back when they do the 2.95 a pound. But otherwise they’re totally not worth it.
Sunday, I did some much needed cleaning around the house. Totally intended to work on some work stuff I brought home but I didn’t do it. Sunday night I met my school group to go bowling for some team bonding. TOTALLY fun. Zane wasn’t able to make it but we still had a really good time.
We finally got some rain here. Of course that made half the population of Dallas idiots that shouldn’t have a driver’s license. School last night dragged on FOREVER. That class is such a beating. Oh well. Good times I guess.
Later…

My Weekend Post
Great weekend. Helped out in large part by my good friend Daylight Savings Time. It’s so amazing how much different it is getting into town when it’s just barely turned dark and how much more awake I am. Normally driving in on a Friday it is dark for a good 2-3 hours and by the time I get in, I’m too tired to do anything. But this time, it had only been dark for like 20 minutes so I was good to go. So I met Shannon, Marci, and some others at a bowling alley. I didn’t bowl but I had so much fun just hanging out. This was my first time seeing Shannon since she found out she was pregnant so that was really cool!
Saturday, I got up early, went running, and then made sure I was at my computer by 10am so I could buy Kenny Chesney tickets cause everyone was saying it would sell out. Um, as of 5 minutes ago you can still buy floor seats. So much for that right? But it will be fun.
After all of that, I went to see McKenna. She’s so cute! Long, but tiny. It’s strange. But she was so cute. I got to feed her and everything. And I got to see the twins who are just way fun now. I can’t believe how big they are! Then it was on to Kaelen’s bday party. That was fun. Green beer, tons of food, March Madness on TV… What’s not to love? I left for a while to go eat crawfish with Lacey. They’re finally starting to get bigger. Thank god! Then I went back to the party after I went and let the dogs out. Almost got a ticket for where I parked at Kaelen’s… Luckily the cop was nice and just came to the door and said to move my car.
Yesterday was just basically lunch with my mom and the continuation of my bracket going to hell… We had crawfish and we went to a different location of the same place I’d gone the night before and I think they were bigger. We ate 6 lbs. My mom, who really never eats crawfish, wasn’t quite done after the 4 lbs and wanted more. Go figure.
School last night. Professor had a medical emergency so class was cancelled. So we stayed around and worked on our project a little. We’re going bowling on Sunday! I can’t wait. J
And now, I leave you with a couple pictures of McKenna. :)

Some stuff about me
So, I started a post at work but it's on a word doc and it's not here right now. So for some filler, here are some things you may or may not know about me. In no particular order or course.
1. I'm insanely addicted to shoes. When I make my first million, I'm buying every pair of shoes Steve Madden makes. And probably for Stephanie too. Cause then it won't be weird. :)
2. When I'm driving places, like the Dallas to Houston trip, I have this crazy need to beat my previous time. If it takes more then 4 hours from the time I leave till the time I'm inside my house, I get really mad. I used to do the same thing when we'd go to College Station from Houston. If it took me more then an hour, I was not a happy person.
3. I'm seriously scared of failure. That's my greatest fear ever. I can't stand the thought that I won't be successful at something. Ask my mom about the night before I took my GMAT. Not one of my better nights.
4. I can tell you what the episode of Friends or Seinfeld will be about with in the first 30 seconds of the show. I've seen them all that many times.
5. At work, I hate showing that things upset me. You'll see when I'm pissed, when I'm happy, but very rarely will you see me upset. I'll wait till I get home and cry my eyes out. Then the next day, you'll have no idea how upset I was.
6. Speaking of #5, Extreme Home Makeover makes me cry no matter what. I don't care if I've seen it before, I'll still cry.
7. I've learned that goofy forward emails, have some of the best advice ever. The latest? No matter how good of a friend someone is, from time to time they're going to do something that hurts you. That hit really close to home in the past week. (If you don't already know, don't ask. Cause I won't tell you)
8. I really miss my friends from college. Say what you will about Cougar High, but the 4 years I was there were some of the absolute best times of my life.
9. Sidebar to #8, even though it's been over 3 years now since I've even talked to him, I still miss Brad. Too much sometimes.
10. I think my IPod/ITunes is a genius. I also think it is human and knows me very well. It always plays the best random shuffle. I'm just saying... I don't think that's a coincidence.
11. I think everyone should take one big risk in life. You never know how it may turn out. It may be the best decision you ever made.

Baseball.......
So tonight was the first night of my second 8 week class. It's Managerial Accounting. I know, you're all jealous cause it just sounds awesome! But here's the thing. I think my professor was the inspiration for the turtle in Finding Nemo. I think more Crush then Squirt but... Greatest interaction between those two in that movie...
Squirt: Whoa! That was so cool! Hey dad! Did you see that? Did you see me? Did you see what I did?
Crush: You so totally rock, Squirt! So gimme some fin.
[they slap fins]
Crush: Noggin'.
[bump heads]
Squirt, Crush: Dude!
Anyway, I digress... But he's just so laid back surfer guy. I mean literally, he's like for the project, turn in a piece of paper with your name on it. I don't care. But you just won't get a thing out of this class if you do that. And for the test, it's open note, open hand out. And he's like if I don't write it on the board, it's not important. I mean it's so obvious and easy, someone's totally gonna screw it up. It's like reverse psychology you know? Or it's like it's so laid out there for you, that you set out to be awesome so you don't look dumb.
I'm currently watching the amazing, badassery that is the Astros in preseason baseball. I love that we got out of class at 7 which allowed me to get home and watch. I don't care that it's preseason. I'm downright giddy. And I was before they staged an insane 9th inning comeback to take the lead. Oh Mike Lamb just struck out and railed his bat against the wall. That's how stupid injuries happen. But giddy people. I mean I'm constantly repeating BASEBALL like the Cookie Monster says cookies... just picture it. I mean i think i have the growl and everything. Oh my god I love baseball. It should be all year long. On TV all yeah long. Dude if Hunter Pence doesn't make the team... Homedude is batting .652 for the spring. People... that is freaking amazing! And he's getting at bats. That's not random gimme bats at the end of the game. Stud...
And we have some cute guys. And for those that don't know my theory, I feel there's a direct relation to physical appearance and success in sports. Totally not scientific, just my theory. And yes, there is the Randy Johnson rule to my theory. So I have thought about it. I'm just saying, strictly on physical appearance, come on World Series. Oh and I'm digging that Richard Hidalgo is back. Just cause i like him. No reason.
Can I just say too that my ITunes is rocking a pretty sweet shuffle of music right now. I'm very proud of that. For example, for anyone who hasn't heard it, check out the live version of You'll Think of Me by Keith Urban. So much emotion in that it's beyond insane. ITunes has a great version.
I suppose that's all for now. I pretty much rambled. BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH! I get to go see McKenna Renee Simmons this weekend. CANNOT WAIT. I'll post pictures next week.
Later!

Thanks to Marci for showing me this awesome site. This is a friend of Marci's. If the diatribe on Kenny Rogers doesn't get you... then you're just not funny.

So I finally recovered (I think) from the crappy flu nonsense that was going around. And those that know me, know that I rarely, if ever, get sick. You also know that I do NOT go to the doctor unless I'm just miserable for like a week straight. So it was me, some NyQuil, DayQuil, and sleep. Friday I thought I was actually better but then I got home from work and slept from 630 that night till about 830 the next morning. I think I needed it.
Saturday night I went with Jennifer and Gentry for beer and crawfish. The crawfish are still kind of small but they're getting there. Can't wait for someone to have a boil. Then we went to Fox and Hound and played some trivia, darts, and pool. I'm sadly out of practice on the beer drinking from basically a week and a half. Gonna have to work on that.
School starts back tomorrow. I'm interested to see what happens in class tomorrow cause we had a midterm and he posted the grade but then took it down. I think everyone pretty much did badly. It was to be expected though since he tested us in a completely opposite way of how he taught. So I'm curious.
Lost is still new. On Wednesday there is supposed to be some big connection revealed. My money is on the fact that Jack and Claire are siblings. Anyone else have guesses?
I watched Extreme Makeover: Home Edition tonight. I tell you, that show can make me cry all the time. Literally my eyes are swollen and a little burning right now. SO SAD!
Let's see... Oh on Thursday I got to go to dinner with my friend Chad from college. I shouldn't have gone cause I was still sick but it was so much fun. We talked about so much stuff from school, and now. I miss college. With that crew. We had such good times.
March Madness begins. Kansas is a #1 seed. Yea!! Lots of good teams of course. I'm sure people who think they should have made it, etc. The only thing worse then not making it I think is making it but having to be in that play in game to get your butt kicked by a #1. This year you get to play Kansas. But I love March Madness. It's just way too much fun and I LOVE IT!
21 days until opening day!!!!!!!!!! This should be the true test of my semester. Studying and still watching my baseball... God I miss baseball. And I think the Astros are going to be pretty good this year so that makes it even better.
Ok, I'm going to sleep. Hopefully I'll be more current and stuff with the blog this week.

Monday Morning Blues...
So I know I’ve been slacking but I’ll try to sneak in an entry this morning…
Weekend was fun. Friday didn’t do much. Just cooked dinner and watched a movie. Saturday, got up, took the dog to the vet. Not sure about this vet yet. They are awesome. Very clean, pretty new building, also and animal hospital, but I just don’t know. They seem to do a bunch of stuff not really necessary. I mean it’s a $40 charge every single time no matter what cause they do this well check. Then, they’re kind of car dealerish in the sense that they kind talk you into all the extras. But they were complete. I’ll give them that. So we’ll see. Here’s a pic of him with his little bandage. I won’t lie, I think it’s adorable.
That night I went out with Whitney because she came in to see her boyfriend’s brother. And I totally called her out on that so it’s ok to say that. I was the afterthought. But I’m ok with that. I got to go out in Ft Worth which I hardly ever get to do so that was a lot of fun. And no matter what made her come to visit, it was a lot of fun to see my sister.
Sunday I was pretty much a bum. I was so sleepy!!!!!!!! Watched some basketball, slept, surfed the net, etc. Saw an episode of Baseball Tonight and was literally giddy. I love baseball! Ryan got to go to the Spring Training game in Orlando over the weekend and sent me a picture. I was so happy. I want baseball to start today!!!!!!!!!! Regular season… Real stuff!
Celeb stuff… what’s going on? Britney’s still in rehab. Lindsay is still pretending to be sober… (please, no one believes you just carry a water bottle around everywhere) And what kind of rehab was it that says it’s ok to go right back to the clubs like the day you check out? And maybe it’s not their fault. Maybe she just did it for show and doesn’t take it seriously. I don’t know. Oh and supposedly Lindsay has been hanging out with Mischa Barton’s ex Cisco Adler while Mischa is in Paris. Ok, you KNOW that Lindsay can do way better then him so she’s just trying to piss of Mischa.
Pretty Addison from Grey’s Anatomy is dating hot Justin from Brother’s and Sisters in real life. I think he’s so freaking hot and she’s gorgeous so I’m ok with that. I give it my blessing. Oh, and supposedly Heather Locklear and Jack Wagner are dating. They would be super cute. And have I ever told you about the major crush I had on Jack Wagner when I was little? My mom used to be a soap opera freak and I LOVED Jack Wagner. I was so upset when I was in Kindergarten cause we would do that send a carnation to someone for Valentine’s thing and my mom sent me one from Jack Wagner. I thought it was really from him and I was SO UPSET. Good times. Ruin me about boys at a young age! Just kidding…
Ok, back to work. Later!

Random Pet Peeves
Ok, so I know there was another one that I can't for the life of me think of. But one of them also I just thought of today and it's rather peevish. And one is my all time forever peeve.
Here it is.
The one from today. When you go to the bathroom at work, and you know that you've done a little more then just #1, can you please check and make sure you didn't "leave your mark"? I mean honestly. Most places have turbo flush so just hit that little silver lever a couple more times. It won't kill anyone.
I wish I could remember the one I thought of yesterday...
My all time forever pet peeve, that I'm seriously thinking lifetime ban at the least for these people... But the jack shit that gets tickets behind home plate at a baseball game and spend the entire first three innings of the game doing the cell phone to the ear, wave to his buddy or someone at home doing the whole, "what about now? can you see me? what if i stand on one leg and jump up and down? Now?" I really those people deserve public stoning but at this point I'll settle for permanent banishment from any sports facility. Now, don't get me wrong. I get a seat behind home plate anywhere, I promise you that I'll call you and go oh my god, I can't believe I have these seats. But I also promise that it will be during pregame when I first sit down (cause those idiots always show up late which irks me too cause clearly they aren't true fans and don't deserve the seats), or even if I call you midgame, it's just going to look like I'm making a call. And nothing more...
Ok, I feel better now.

I'm sorry Lori... Hope this helps your fix... :)
So really long weekend. Went to Houston on Friday for the Rodeo Cookoff... LOVE IT. I love the rodeo. It's one of the things I really miss about not living in Houston anymore. If I could take off the entire 4 weeks or so and just be at the rodeo I totally would. So that was Friday night.
Ok, random insert here. I'm watching the Hills... Which I love!!!!!! Ok, so it's Lauren's BFF Jenn's birthday. And she totally wants to hook up with Brody that Lauren was just dating like 5 minutes ago. And she totally wants to which is fine, and Heidi keeps telling her that it's her birthday so she should do whatever she wants. I'm sorry, as the biggest it's my birthday and I'll do what I want to person, you CANNOT hook up with your so called best friend's just recent something and use that as your excuse. And then Heidi who's still bitter that Lauren doesn't like her lame-o boyfriend is being the enabler. Oh yeah, Lauren got Jenn diamonds for her bday and she still hooked up with Brody. LOVE THIS SHOW.
OK, Saturday, we thought there was a memorial to go to for an old friend but it turns out that it got changed to another date. So I was going to start to study but I really needed new tires for my car. BOO. Thank god for the tax refund... So it didn't hurt as badly as it could have. That day was also really great cause I got to eat at two of my fave Houston restaurants. El Gallo and Willie's. YUM. That night I went to a birthday party for a friend and we went skating. Like good old, used to have parties there when you were young skating... My legs are still a little sore but it was so fun!
Got up Sunday morning and left at like 715am to get back in time for Steph's daughter's bday. It was at one of those bounce houses. Ok, I know I'm going to be 28 this year, but holy crap I want to have my birthday party there. SO MUCH FUN! Spent the rest of the day studying and sleeping... yuck. Great weekend though.
Tomorrow I'll do more Hollywood stuff...

For those who don't know Brody Jenner...
... he's the idiot that has leached himself onto anyone and everyone who could make him famous because his ill-conceived shot at reality fame crashed after 4 episodes. He's currently "starring" on the Hills.
Here's his pic...

This guy is a tool...

Brody Jenner Tried to Get Nicole Richie to Eat
TUESDAY FEBRUARY 20, 2007 09:25 AM EST
By Stephen M. Silverman
What was at the heart of the long-gone relationship between Nicole Richie and Brody Jenner? He was trying to get her to eat.
In a dialogue exchange that is part of a profile of Jenner in the March issue of Details, Spencer Pratt, described as Jenner's "manager- slash- publicist-slash- agent-slash-stylist," says to Jenner, "Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna start dating Nicole Richie. And you're gonna get that skinny bitch to eat, all right? You are about to become The Guy Who Got Nicole Richie to Eat. Process that sh--, bro. You'll be, like, a f---ing hero to America."
The plan, which was devised last August (just when Jenner and Richie did begin dating), was actually part of Jenner's scheme to ride Richie's coattails and become a more familiar name himself – which, as Details points out, proved successful, because here it is interviewing him.
A week after Jenner and Richie split in October, Jenner forged a relationship with The Hills costar Lauren Conrad. (That ended quickly, too.)
"Basically," says Jenner, 23, "I made it, like, my mission to try to go on a date with every girl on The Hills."
He's also extended his reach beyond the show. "Let's see where Lindsay's at, get her up in here," Jenner is quoted as saying as he text-messages Lohan, though the two are merely described as "just friends."
Even so, Lohan texted back and eventually shows up to meet Jenner at Hyde.
Not that all this scheming and schmoozing doesn't leave Jenner time to be introspective. "This whole scene, this whole town – it's so fake," he says. "It's like a movie set, like my life is a movie set. These people, they all think it's real, but it's not."
And the future? "I wanna meet a girl who has nothing to do with L.A., a nice, normal, real girl."
Then he adds, "Actually, you now, that's gonna be a component of our new MTV show – me leaving L.A. to meet a normal girl. It might be hard, though, with all the cameras."

Mile High Travesty...
Ok, so you may or may not have heard about the flight attendant that did some up in the air "laundry" with really very attractive Ralph Fiennes. Apparently now she's been fired. I have a problem with this. What did she do wrong? I found this quote on the Qantas Airways website.
Registered originally as the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited (QANTAS), we have built a reputation for excellence in safety, operational reliability, engineering and maintenance, and customer service.
Um, what did she do wrong? I think she was providing excellent customer service. She made his flight a little more friendly. It was a nine hour flight for goodness sake. What else was he supposed to do? Read? Sleep? Watch the in flight movie?
Best article I've seen about this was one that i found today.
Some of the highlights:
1.Robertson told London's Daily Mail on Sunday that after her unprotected sexual encounter in the bathroom, she went to his hotel room and had sex with him several more times.
2. She claims they had "amazing chemistry"
3. She told the paper that they flirted all through the flight and later in the evening when she went to take a break, "The English Patient" actor came to talk to her. She said they chatted, then began to make out before going into the bathroom to have sex.
4. In an effort to save her job, she claimed he initiated it but his rep says that it was all her.
Does it really matter people? I mean clearly to do it in a tiny airplane bathroom, you're gonna have to want it. I never want to just pee in there much less let another person come in with me.
Here's what she looks like... what do you think? Cute? Not cute? Ok but not worth the public story about your up in the air loving?

Before I go finish my accounting test...
So, quite the weekend. For me and for other people it seems.
My weekend was just a good one. Nothing spectacular, but just a fun weekend. Got in Friday night, hung out with mom for a little bit, then went to bed. Awesome. :) Saturday I went to the bridal shower and had a lot of fun. Really glad I came in for it. Then last night, I went to dinner and shopping and drinks with Whit and some others. Had some crawfish. They're still really teeny but it was nice to have them back. :)
So now I'm back. And pretty soon I have to start working on my accounting final. Next weekend should be tons of fun cause I'm going to the Rodeo cook off in Houston. It's one of the most fun things I do every year. I can't wait!
Now, some Hollywood drama.
First, found this "Blind Item" in the NY Daily News. "Which red-hot rehabber has a new thing for threesomes with two gentlemen friends?" Hmmm. I wonder... Has to be Lohan right? Although I will admit it's a little surprising to hear this is something new she's into...
Bridget Moynahan is pregnant with Tom Brady's child. I don't know why, but this just is great news to me. I think cause i really liked them as a couple so secretly I hope they get back together because of this. Nothing against Giselle, I just really like Tom with Bridget.
Ok, and I think I've said this before but I'm going to say it again. Just because they win American Idol, does not mean that it needs to be played on pop radio. Yes I'm talking to all of the Top 40 stations that play Carrie Underwood. On that same note though, they play Rascall Flatts too... Not sure the excuse there. Just a peeve...
This is hilarious. You totally have to watch this clip even if you've seen it. It just gets funnier!
Clearly the biggest story of the weekend is Britney. Bald Britney... OK, yeah she's a train wreck, yeah she's doing a lot, if not all of it to herself... But I'm going to throw this out. Postpartum? Just a thought. I mean yes, her dad is an alcoholic and that's something that runs in the family. But oh my god why doesn't her family just take her and help her? I did hear later that something traumatic happened to her and this is her way of starting over. Not sure what that means. But then, I was driving home today and the DJ on the radio gave a teaser on a story she was gonna tell coming up about someone that had a break down as a result of Justin's Grammy performance. Ok, well there's only one person that would have a break down. And if it was her, then clearly the song is not about his "best friend" but about himself. And again, while it's an amazing song... How long until Justin stops writing songs about Britney? I mean if I'm Cameron, I'm a little pissed off. Apparently her mom flew to LA so hopefully she's getting help before it's too late. Oh, and some lame brain is selling the hair on Ebay. Under the guise of giving it to charity. Whatever.
Ok, I've put off the homework long enough.
Later...

Total Randomness
OK, so Perez is saying that Shanna Moakler and Travis Barker are back together. On one hand, I'm totally on board with this. I mean they have kids, they're both their own kind of weird, so it really just works. On the other hand though, this was an interesting turn. I mean think about it. Get in fights with your wife, separate, both of you go out and party like rockstars to get back at each other... Only he takes it one further. He skanks around with Paris... So now when he's back with Shanna, he's all STD'd up and ready to go... Assuming they were both healthy before but... nothing like getting a little Paris and then getting back with your wife.
Ok, neighbor above me. Rudeness defined... last night at like 1030 he decided to hammer things on the wall. Awesome. Right now, he's also seeming to be hammering things. Only now I'm thinking these "things", may be living and breathing. Some crazy, all hours, against that wall kind of hammering...
Ok something else that's a little confusing to me. So Petra Nemcova and James Blunt have been dating forever. Then it was rumored he cheated on her (dumb ass) and then it was no, they're still together. but you never really heard much about it. All of the sudden, he brings her to the Grammy's and they're everywhere again. And some people are acting like they're a new couple. I'm confused.
Jessica Simpson's new hair. SO CUTE. She looks really pretty brunette. I hope she keeps it. And strangely, I really like her and John Mayer together.
Someone, someone, someone, someone, anyone, please get Britney Spears to rehab.
OK, I want to go read my magazines... Later.

I've been a slacker
So, I'm not as consistent anymore it seems with my posting. I'm sorry to my two or three loyal readers that may have been inconvenienced by this. I will try to be better. I just get lazy about it when I get home from school.
Let's see. Oh, the other night, Monday night, I slept on my closet floor. I woke up at about 3AM to these brutal, howling winds. And since I live next to a highway, we have those big sound walls so it's not so loud from traffic. Well when it's really windy, it just whips through there and is so loud. Plus, my building is an older one so it creaks badly sometimes. So I was woken by the wind, couldn't go back to sleep and I still had 2 1/2 hours to sleep so i made a pallet on the floor in my closet, shut the door, and fell back to sleep. Funny thing though... There's not a "real" door handle on the inside of the door in the closet. So i momentarily panicked cause I thought I was all R. Kelly and trapped in the closet... but no worries... it opened. Strangely quiet place though to sleep.
Turned in our accounting project last night. Totally freaked out because we forgot this tiny little detail of putting a grade box on our page. I'm talking an actual box, that says grade next to it. Apparently worth 20 points on the project. Out of like 35... I'm not totally sure how that works but... anyways, we were able to add it on with a marker and stuff so crisis averted.
Filing my tax refund right now. I use TurboTax. I love it cause it's really helpful. It goes through deductions and stuff for you. It also has this Vegas like quality about it. It calculates the refund as you go. And it just keeps going and stuff like a slot machine. I'm sure if I was owing money it wouldn't be nearly as fun. And, as it goes up, I keep thinking of shoes, a new TV, and all this other stuff I really probably don't need but want so badly...
This Anna Nicole stuff has become such a beat down.. We are now on potential father #6... Unreal... I've got nothing else I care to say on that.
I'm not at home so I don't have my normal gossip sites to grab stuff from. So maybe tonight I can do another blog that is stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with me but I'm still strangely obsessed with.

Oh yeah... Britney's a crazy sex freak...
Check this out. From some interview that the Isaac Cohen dude gave...
The model/actor/wannabe sat down with the News Of The World for this enlightening interview:
- "She loves sex and is incredibly adventurous. She was totally happy when we were locked in each other's arms. But once the sex stopped Britney was like a little girl lost, unable to cope.
- "She would lie like a limp rag doll in my arms and and say, 'Why can't everyone leave me alone?' and, 'What have I done to deserve this?'"
- "By the time I met Britney she was burnt out. She knew she had been drinking and partying as a way to try to banish the bad stuff from her life. Far from the trashy drunk, I saw a very shy, sweet girl who was just desperately sad about what had happened with her marriage.
- "Yes she enjoyed Jack Daniel's but she was trying not to get in the state she had been in with Paris. Her boys mean everything to her and she worried she might lose them in a custody battle.
- "It was clear she was not over her marriage. The first time she invited me to her home I saw her wedding dress hung on the wall in a glass box. As we made love that night it was like Kevin was in bed beside us. She had not even begun to move on with her life."
- "She needed me to hold her and tell her what a beautiful girl she is. We would make slow love until the sun came up.
- "She has an amazing body and I loved exploring every inch of it."
- "Like any woman who has had two children she worried about her figure. As far as I was concerned she was gorgeous, but she had such low self esteem she sometimes would not listen."
- "She would say, 'Am I fat? Am I fat?' then spend hours dancing around the house trying to burn off calories. She was always jumping around."
- "Other times, she got so low she didn't care what she looked like. She could not care less some days if she went out of the house without brushing her hair or checking to see if her outfit matched."
- "That's just where she was in her life. She had so much on her plate with the children she had precious little time to worry about how she looked."
- "I adore Britney and in a different place at a different time we might have stood a chance. It was far too soon for her to get involved in a relationship with anyone.
- "But she has coped with so much in her life I hope she does not give up now. She is too special for that."

Busy weekend...
So, started off kind of slow. I was supposed to go out Friday night but I wasn't feeling well and Jennifer had to be up early anyways so I didn't end up doing anything. Then Saturday, I woke up, did some stuff around the house, worked on my school project a little, etc. Then in the afternoon/evening, I went over to Steph's. She had never seen The Devil Wears Prada... GASP. I know. Unamerican really... :) So we watched that. I got some really cool valentine's cards from Elisa so that made the night better. Then got some really cool news from a friend so... Great night.
This morning... Woke up, really cracked down on the housework. Laundry, etc. Went to meet Devin to work on our project. Love sitting in Starbucks and just watching people. Way to addicting actually... So we worked on that for like an hour. I still feel badly like he has done most of the work. Although he swears not. Oh, totally random fact I learned. He graduated from Klein Oak. His parents still live in Houston like not that far from mine... Small world.
Then I met with Heather to do some shopping. SO MUCH FUN. I had a blast. I went to Old Navy first and found the cutest jacket for like $25 so I was psyched. Then we went to IKEA and I got some good kitchen stuff. Bowls, storage, etc. I got an apple slicer which I know, sounds lame of me, but I'm totally excited. I almost stopped and bought apples just to cut them.
Oh, and today, online, got the cutest little clutch from Dooney. Here's what it looks like... Ok never mind it won't let me save it... Oh well.
Tomorrow should be fun at work. All the sales people are back so it will be pretty crazy I'm sure.
Also, I'm totally bitter about something but really can't talk about it I guess cause I think the person that is the source of the bitterness reads this sometimes. I'm just being a girl and it's silly anyways.
I'm going to Houston next weekend for a bridal shower and I'll be damned if i don't go eat some crawfish while I'm there. I'm totally craving.
Ok, gonna go find some food. later!

Blah Monday...
So, I was in Houston today for my last minute meeting. Hate the fast trips in. Plus, that flight isn't that bad, except when you rush it and you feel exhausted. Great meeting though. Just tons more to do tomorrow. And, the sales guys are all gonna be gone after like noon on Wednesday so it's gonna be soooooooooo quiet in the office. I'm not looking forward to it.
Let's see... Yea Colts! Glad they won. It's funny cause all these people today are making excuses for the Bears like well, it was wet and he couldn't hold onto the football. Um, it was wet for the Colts too. There was that first interception that Grossman threw that I could tell when he let go of the ball that it wasn't going to be good. Commercials were ok. I thought that Bud Light had really funny ones all around. The rock-paper-scissors, the auctioneer wedding, etc. Coke was good too. And I'll admit, I liked the KFed one. Rumors are flying that Dungy might retire. A little odd but... maybe he's just ready to be done.
Random Hollywood stuff going on... I just don't care enough right now about. Nothing mind altering, have to talk about...
Short and sweet... that's it.

Been a busy week. Accounting test, end of the year, Steph's bday party...
Steph's birthday was fun. It was the first real time that she had been out drinking with us. So it was good times. Good pictures from that night. really cute. One question though. I know this is an ice pack and it's supposed to keep the beer chilled, but is it really necessary to shape it in this way?

You're gonna give a bunch of on their way to being drunk people THIS to talk about? I'm just thinking it may not be the smartest thing in the world.
I have to leave today at 230. Well, my flight does. Worked out well that they wanted me to go down for a meeting in Houston. I could fly in the day before, see Lacey and Kory's new house, and go to Kaelen's superbowl party. And all of that and I'm back in time for school tomorrow night.
Random celeb stuff...
I swear. Lindsay Lohan's mom is damn proud that she's the worst mother ever. And she's working hard to keep it. OK, i know she has two other children and I believe they live in New York. But your still underage daughter is in rehab in LA. Shouldn't you be out there offering support instead of saying you're not her keeper? Instead of letting her manicurist, masseuse, and others take care of her? When you see that she's really never there, stop saying you're proud of her. Get out and there and be a mom. And absolutely shut up and stop giving anyone that will listen an interview. The latest? SHE brought up the fact that people said that Lindsay's appendectomy was actually an abortion. Then she kept talking. She brought it up and offered no denial. Great mom that Dina...
Apparently Vince Vaughn has seen the error of his ways and is trying to get Jen back. Well duh... of course he realizes he's not gonna find anyone else like her... I really hope they do get back together though cause I like them together.
I think my favorite story is that supposedly Joe Francis (girls gone wild) is behind the whole Paris Exposed site. Some of the clues. Apparently the wording on Paris Exposed and GGW is the same. Also, the Paris site name was registered back in 2003 (when she was supposedly dating him). If these people that have her stuff just got it, wouldn't they just take a different name that they wouldn't have to buy from someone? Also, the main picture on the site features Joe... And when he was on the Howard Stern show, he kept telling people to go to the site and check it out. But, he was part of the lawsuit to shut it down? I said all along that she was in on it. Now we know who her partner is...
Ok, catch ya later...

Mystery is solved...
So, i talked to my apartments and figured out the great red notice mystery. Eviction notice. And it appears that they skipped out instead of dealing with it which is gonna leave an even bigger red flag on the credit. And, I think it was just in her name so it's gonna hit her. But, at least now i know. I was hoping for the middle of the night police raid though. I also feel sorry for the person that has to walk through that apartment to assess everything. cause it's gonna stink! dogs and stuff. at least it's cold right now so it's not stewing in there or anything
Sign of the Apocalypse
Ok, so the whole Britney and KFed thing. No brainer when it happened right? I mean I think we all had bets on when it would be over cause he's just so not right for her, using her, etc. Maybe it's all her partying, maybe it's her looking like a train wreck 24/7, maybe it's him laying low and just making really smart decisions, or maybe it's been too long since I've had a date... But I really kind of miss KFed. And I really almost (almost) hope that he gets at least 50/50 custody of the kids. Did you ever think there was a time that you'd be on Team Federline? And worse yet, find him almost likable? Now, I'm not going to say I find him attractive because I don't. But I'm really starting to like him... I think we all thought the best thing to happen to him would be marrying Britney. But I think divorcing her was the best move.

Early Night...
So tonight was test night. So I'm home a little early. But it didn't start out so well. So class is at 530. And we were gonna spend at least the first hour reviewing some more, asking him any questions, etc. So for some reason, I think i need to leave at 430. I'm not sure why I thought that. I've never left at 430 for this class. I leave at 4. So I'm trying to get this project at work finished, and I run out of the office. And I have to go to Staples to pay a for some stuff we got earlier. Not a huge deal cause it took like 2 seconds. Well my low fuel light comes on too. and I'm thinking crap... I don't want to stop. Well I guess I was on a hill cause it leveled out and I was fine. So I get onto 30. Go like 5 seconds, and stop... Freaking wreck in the downtown canyon. And I'm in the far left lane cause I need to be but of course, most people in that lane are just riding it cause it's faster and then holding up traffic when they have to cut over cause it's exit only. So I call Dana and tell her I'm gonna be late, so she can tell the professor. Well I finally get to the cut over to 75, and gridlock... Cause of course now, it's 5 o'clock traffic. Then, at about 635 and 75, the fuel light comes on again! At this point I'm like you know what? I'll get close enough and hitch a ride if I have to. So I pull into a spot, grab my crap, and run in... It was about 545 so not too bad...
Right when I was walking in, apparently the loud girl had raised her hand and said um, can you write with a marker that I can actually read? I guess he had been using a red marker and she couldn't see it so he had to change to a black marker. And apparently she was all attitudey and stuff and he just switched to get on with it. I also found out that she announced to everyone that she drives a hard top, Volvo convertible... Bitchin... there was more to the story but it's not important really...
So now I'm home. I'm relaxed, and it's wait for the test score...
So, random news. Apparently Courtney Love may replace Paula Abdul on American Idol. Sure, let's replace one train wreck with another. Brilliance...
So Brandi may be charged with vehicular manslaughter with that wreck she caused back in LA. It stinks, but you know what? If she was a non famous person, she'd be charged. Someone died! And the civil rights groups have the balls to say that she's being singled out because of her celebrity. As far as I know, they haven't claimed it's cause she's black yet. OK, i have major issue with this. How many times do celebs get off easy cause of their status? Or get probation instead of jail time? You're telling me you have the audacity to claim she's being singled out? Someone died!! I can't even begin to tell you how pissed off it makes me that they're saying this. What about the next time that someone truly is being made an example of? Then people aren't going to take them seriously!
One of my favorite times of the year is now... The Sports Guy and his super bowl blog. Love it!
Crawfish season is back! I'm determined to eat more crawfish this year... Just saying...
Ok, tomorrow, it's back to work, and I'm also gonna need a couple beers. And if you're reading this (you who knows I'm talking about you), I REALLY need those couple beers...
That's all...
